DNA Science prep for TJ students
DNA Science is lab-heavy, and students need to understand why each technique works, not just follow the protocol. This course will build that understanding.
Who it is for
TJ students taking DNA Science 1 or DNA Science 2.
Usually taken in 10th or 11th grade.
What the course will include
- Lessons on topics such as DNA structure, extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and cloning, plus more advanced molecular techniques.
- Original practice questions on planning experiments and interpreting results such as gel images.
- Complete explanations for every answer, including how to troubleshoot an unexpected result.
It is built the same way as our AP Precalculus course, which is open now: every problem is original, and every solution shows each step. Tuition will be announced when the course opens.
