Philanthropy
Expanding access to elite admissions
EduAvenues partners with a focused group of community organizations to extend the reach of our programs beyond the families our tuition reaches directly.
Our approach
Access as an operating principle
EduAvenues is a premium admissions consultancy. Our tuition reflects the depth of the work we do and the selectivity with which we take on clients. That is the business, and we do not apologize for it.
Alongside that business, we maintain a deliberate philanthropic program delivered through trusted community partners. The organizations we support identify students who will benefit from our programs, and we fund their participation. This model keeps our philanthropic capacity focused, accountable, and directed to the students our partners know best.
How we contribute
Three channels of support
Consistent commitments we maintain year after year.
Sponsored placements through partner organizations
We fund placements in our programs for students identified by the community organizations we work with. Partners identify candidates, assess need, and manage referrals. EduAvenues does not accept individual applications for reduced tuition; all sponsored placements are routed through our partners.
Open-access educational resources
A substantial portion of our expertise is published openly on this website. Our library includes detailed guides to TJ admissions, SAT and ACT preparation, college applications, research programs, and interview preparation. These resources are available to any family, at no cost, with no gate.
Direct financial and in-kind contributions
We provide sponsorship funding, event support, donated program access, and volunteer hours to a focused group of organizations whose work we know well. Our approach is to go deep with a small number of partners rather than spread contributions thin across a long list.
Community partners
Organizations we support
We concentrate our contributions on Northern Virginia organizations whose work we understand firsthand.
Sponsor and mentor
HackTJ
The nation's largest high school hackathon, organized by students at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. EduAvenues contributes sponsorship funding and provides mentorship from members of our team during the event.
Annual donor
TJ Colonial Athletic Boosters
The booster organization that funds athletic programs at Thomas Jefferson. TJ lacks the alumni donor base common at peer institutions, and community contributors sustain much of student athletic life. We contribute annually.
Partnership inquiries
For community organizations
We evaluate new partnerships on a limited basis. Organizations serving students in the Washington, DC metropolitan area that work closely with underrepresented communities and can identify candidates aligned with our programs are invited to contact us.
EduAvenues does not review philanthropy inquiries from individual families. Families seeking educational support are encouraged to use our publicly available resources or to contact a community organization in their area.
