Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how EduAvenues LLC, doing business as TJTestPrep, and its affiliated websites, including eduavenues.com, tjtestprep.com, and pre-medprep.com (collectively, the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collect, use, and disclose personal information when you access or use our website, services, or products (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Google and Email Sign-In

Information we access: When you choose Sign in with Google for an EduAvenues account, we receive your Google account identifier, email address and verification status, and basic profile information such as your name and profile photo when Google provides it. This sign-in flow requests only identity, email, and basic profile permissions. It does not request permission to read your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or Google Calendar.

When you choose an email sign-in link, we use the email address you enter to send and verify a one-time link and create or link the same limited EduAvenues account. We do not collect an account password for this sign-in method.

How we use and share it: We use this account information to create or link your EduAvenues account, sign you in, maintain your session, check your eligibility for enrolled or account-based services, and provide account support. Our authentication and hosting service providers, including Supabase and Vercel, process account and session information on our behalf to operate sign-in and access controls.

Storage and protection: Account identifiers and profile information are stored in our authentication and application systems. Session information is also stored in browser cookies or local storage to keep you signed in. Our sign-in services use HTTPS, and restricted resources are protected by server-side session and access checks.

Retention and deletion: We retain sign-in account information under the Data Retention policy below. To access, correct, or request deletion of this information and your EduAvenues account, contact hello@eduavenues.com. See Your Rights and Choices for more information.

YouTube API Services

EduAvenues uses YouTube API Services. We use them to manage and measure our own EduAvenues YouTube channel (for example, updating titles, descriptions, thumbnails and playlists, and reading channel analytics), and to show YouTube videos embedded in our websites and course materials. By watching YouTube content through the Services, you are also agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google may process information as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Information we access: Our YouTube API tools act only on the EduAvenues channel, using authorization from EduAvenues staff. They do not ask students, parents, or other visitors to connect a YouTube or Google account, and they do not access, collect, or store your YouTube account data. Our reports use aggregate channel analytics provided by YouTube, such as total views and traffic sources, which do not identify individual viewers.

Embedded videos: When you play a YouTube video embedded in our Services, YouTube and Google may set cookies or collect information about that viewing under their own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive personal information about you from those embeds.

Revoking access: If you have ever authorized an EduAvenues application to access a Google account, you can revoke that access at any time from the Google security settings page. Questions about our use of YouTube API Services can be sent to hello@eduavenues.com.

ChatGPT and Claude Connectors

EduAvenues offers an optional connector that lets you use your EduAvenues account inside AI assistants such as ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic). Nothing is shared with an assistant unless you add the EduAvenues connector there, sign in with your EduAvenues account, and approve the connection on our consent page.

Information the connector shares: When you ask the assistant a question that uses the connector, we send it only what that request needs: the names of the EduAvenues courses on your account, the titles of their lessons with links to them, the text of a lesson guide you ask about (only for lessons your account can already open), your lesson progress (which lessons you opened or finished, time spent, and a suggested next lesson), your knowledge-check scores and dates, upcoming classes and practice exams, homework status and due dates, SAT/ACT drill and practice-test results, and coach feedback that has been released to you (scores, strengths, priorities and review notes). When you ask about a specific piece of writing feedback, it also sends the student's own submitted response, the prompt, and the coach's comments on that response. The connector is read-only. It cannot change your account, submit work, or make purchases, and it never shares knowledge-check questions or answers. For a parent account, it covers the students linked to that parent. Course materials remain EduAvenues property and are shared for your personal study only.

How the assistant handles it: Information sent to an assistant is processed by that company under its own terms and privacy policy (OpenAI, Anthropic). EduAvenues does not sell this information, and we do not receive or store your conversations with the assistant. We do record which connector tools and lessons your family uses, and when, so we can personalize your study plan and let your EduAvenues coach see which lessons a student keeps asking about. We also keep the sign-in records needed to operate the connection.

Age: Each assistant sets its own minimum age. Students should use the connector only where the assistant's own terms allow it.

Disconnecting: You can remove the EduAvenues connector at any time from the assistant's settings, which stops any further sharing. To also end the sign-in on our side, sign out of EduAvenues everywhere or email hello@eduavenues.com.

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Mailing address
  • School Attending
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Educational background
  • Payment information
  • Account identifiers, marketing subscription status, consent timestamp and version, age attestation, and free-access activation or revocation status

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our Services
  • To communicate with you about your account and our Services
  • To send opportunity and college-planning marketing emails when you agree to receive them

  • To process transactions and send you invoices
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries
  • To analyze usage and user preferences to improve our Services
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions

Student Opportunities Access: We link a verified account identifier to the email subscription and consent records used to grant free database access. We do not ask the browser to provide the account email again when activating access. The server derives it from the verified account. We do not knowingly collect a child under 13’s email address for this marketing-supported access. A child under 13 must ask a parent or guardian to register with the parent or guardian’s email address.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your personal information with third parties in the following situations:

  • With service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, web hosting providers, and analytics providers
  • With third-party tools and platforms that we use to provide our Services, such as video conferencing services, learning management systems, and artificial intelligence tools
  • As required by law or in response to legal process or a request from a governmental agency

  • In connection with the sale, merger, or other business transaction involving the Company

4. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of our Services, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and pages visited. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect the functionality of our Services.

Product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how our websites and learning platforms are used, such as which pages are visited, which features are used, and where people get stuck, so we can improve them. When a student or parent is signed in, this usage is linked to a random-looking code derived from the account, not to a name or email address. We do not send PostHog names, email addresses, phone numbers, essays, written feedback, test answers, or scores, and PostHog is set to discard IP addresses. On some pages we may record anonymized screen activity to fix problems. These recordings hide all text and everything typed into forms, and never show student writing, test questions, or answers. You can ask us to delete this usage data at any time by contacting us at hello@eduavenues.com.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, applications, or services that are not owned or controlled by the Company. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or any other aspect of such third-party websites, applications, or services. By accessing or using these third-party links or services, you acknowledge and agree that the Company is not liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of or reliance on any third-party content, products, or services.

7. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, correct, update, or request the deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at hello@eduavenues.com. You may also have the right to object to or restrict the processing of your personal information or to request data portability.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribing revokes marketing-supported free Student Opportunities access and returns the account to curated preview access on the next access check. A user may restore free access by renewing the required confirmations, at which point only unsent messages in the current email sequence resume. Unsubscribing does not revoke paid College Prep access.

9. International Data Transfers

We may transfer and process personal information that we collect from you in countries other than the country in which the data was originally collected. This includes, but is not limited to, servers and data centers located in the United States. These countries may have data protection rules different from those of your country. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another region with laws governing data collection and use, please note that you are agreeing to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. By submitting your personal information, you consent to this transfer, storing, and processing. We will take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal information in accordance with applicable law.

10. Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Right to data portability.
  • Right to restrict or object to data processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@eduavenues.com.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the EEA. We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as a legal mechanism to ensure data protection in these transfers.
